FUTURA Cyber Awarded U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory Phase I SBIR Contract
In Conjunction with the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program, FUTURA Cyber Will Bring Innovative Software Technologies to the F-35 Lightning II Aircraft
ASHBURN, VA. December 5, 2019 — The Air Force Research Laboratory, in conjunction with the F-35 Lightning II Program Office, recently awarded FUTURA Cyber, a leading provider of cyber security solutions, a Phase I SBIR (Small Business Innovation Research) Contract to prove that a unified workflow engine can be utilized to automate, and dramatically reduce the time required to build and update Mission Data Files for the F-35 Lightning II aircraft.
The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter Program is the Department of Defense’s focal point for defining affordable next generation strike aircraft weapon systems for the Navy, Air Force, Marines, and U.S. allies. The F-35 will bring cutting-edge technologies to the battlespace of the future.
The F-35 Lightning II Joint Program Office is responsible for the acquisition of software in support of the F-35 mission. The Air Force wishes to provide the warfighter with innovative software tools to increase the efficiency of software development, and is looking to do so by partnering with pioneering small businesses, like FUTURA Cyber, that have solutions to Air Force challenges.
